The Duke Ellington School of the Arts will host a press conference with
the legendary Philadelphia International Records’ music producers and
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Members Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff
announcing a capital campaign in support of arts education. Visit www.ellingtonnotes.com for more info.
Joining the
songwriting duo Gamble and Huff will be Chuck D of the
world famous platinum-selling Hip Hop group Public Enemy, and Grammy
Award Winner Chrisette Michele. Gina Paige,
Founder of African Ancestry, will serve as moderator.
Later that
evening, participants will be on hand at John F. Kennedy Center for the
Performing Arts as patrons celebrate the Artistry of Stevie
Wonder. The artist will perform a 7:30 p.m. concert to benefit
the Duke Ellington School of the Arts.
